At the scientific research institute, there is a Council for the defense of doctoral school students in three specialties, approved by the Higher Attestation Commission of the USSR, the current Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

        1. Development and operation of oil fields.

        2. Drilling wells.

        3. Machines, units and processes.

 

The RSI prepares, discusses and defends dissertations of doctoral school students from all divisions of the oil and gas industry: various scientific, design, and educational institutes, as well as from oil and gas production enterprises, oil refineries, etc. Among them, a considerable number are applicants from various foreign countries.
