Sand production in oil and gas wells poses significant operational challenges, leading to wellbore instability, equipment damage, and reduced production efficiency. Effective sand control strategies are essential to ensure long-term well productivity and maximize oil recovery. This study presents a comprehensive assessment of various sand control techniques, evaluating their effectiveness in preventing sand production and their impact on well longevity. We focus on the integration of mechanical, chemical, and geomechanical methods, which are commonly employed to control sand influx in both onshore and offshore wells.
